Booking and Appointments:

  1. How do I book a product?

    • Both the LitStart Essential and Premier Packages can be selected and purchased directly on our “LitStart Packages” service page. For the Premier Package, choose your package, select a date and time for your consultation, and complete the payment process. The Essential Package can be purchased directly and downloaded immediately after payment.

  2. What is your cancellation policy?

    • Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a fee. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us as soon as possible. For more details, please visit our [Booking Policy].

  3. What happens if I arrive late for my appointment?

    • If you arrive late, the session will still end at the scheduled time to ensure that the next client is not delayed. If you are more than 10 minutes late, the appointment may need to be rescheduled. See our [Booking Policy] for more information.

  4. What is your no-show policy?

    • If you do not show up for your scheduled consultation and have not contacted us to cancel or reschedule, the full session fee for the Premier Package will be charged. Details are available in our [Booking Policy].

    •  LitStart Essential Package: Includes the Phonological Awareness Evaluation (PAE), PAE Skills Tracker, and guidebooks designed for parents to use actively with their children, enhancing their literacy skills.

  2. Are your services a form of diagnosis?

Preparing for Your Session:

  1. How should I prepare my child for the session?

    • To ensure the best experience for your child, please follow these preparation tips:

      • Ensure your child is in a quiet, distraction-free environment.

      • Allow your child to complete the activities independently.

      • Remain neutral and avoid influencing their responses.

      • Provide encouragement and positive reinforcement at the end of the session. Detailed preparation tips can be found in your booking confirmation email.

After the Session:

  1. Will I receive feedback after the session?

    • Yes, after completing the Phonological Awareness Evaluation (PAE), you will receive a detailed action plan via email within 48 hours. This plan will include an overview of your child’s strengths, areas for growth, and personalized recommendations.

  2. Can I book a follow-up session?

    • The duration of each session is approximately 30 minutes.

  4. What qualifications do you have?

    • Christina Taylor-Donovan has over 13 years of experience in early literacy, including roles as a classroom teacher, EIP Reading Specialist, K-2 Early Literacy Instructional Coach, and district-level Science of Reading Specialist. Christina is also currently enrolled in an EdD program for Reading & Literacy, focusing on research to address gaps in family literacy practices.
